Setting up a spiritually-grounded mindset is key to each of our morning routines. The practice itself is very different for everyone as it should be. This is because it targets and sets your own personal intention for the day….

This Yogi just came back from a vigorous, vinyasa class at my studio and as nerdy as it may seem, the feeling of connection created in my yoga class can and does carry with me throughout the rest of the day. Why? Well, It’s because at the start of my practice, I set my daily intention and dedicate my own yoga practice to areas of my life where I am grateful particularly for loved ones and those who are sick and suffering. That’s My routine but that doesn’t mean it’s Yours….

Visualization + Affirmations + Mindfulness are three popular methods used. Some people practice meditation while others recite affirmations written on their bathroom mirror. (There are of course, other examples but these two seem to be a favorite to many.) This routine is soothing, grounding, creates a positive outlook and can be quite cleansing to those “busy brains” much like my own!

Everyone is different so the spiritual-mindset routine is a matter of personal preference, comfort, schedules and an internal need to create space or “make room for” something more that just You in your life.
