Have you ever looked at photos of the Maldives and thought to yourself, this place is Paradise found? It is! Although this Bucket List destination can be tough to get to, once you arrive it is pure relaxation, excellent food and the water feels like a bathtub. I stayed at the Taj Exotica Resort and Spa during the month of June. We had a great experience. The rooms were clean and they provide great service. Here are a few things I find worth mentioning about the Maldives— this island is best suited for Couples. When you arrive at the airport, you are surrounded by honeymooners. Next, the Indian Cuisine is to die for! Being that it is in such close proximity to India, they have incredible food. I also recommend staying in a Beach Villa instead of an over the water hut. Although the over the water huts are very nice, you don’t have much privacy. Lastly, if you do choose to stay at the Taj, their Jiva Spa is great. I indulged in an afternoon massage and believe it or not, I took this photo as I was walking back to my Villa. It looks like a Postcard!
